"Pasquali" is an ancient and evocative religious and folklore ceremony that takes place every year in Bormio, in Upper Valtellina, on Easter Sunday. It refers to ancient pagan rituals linked to alpine culture, pastoralism and mountain clarity, then transformed into traditional religious rites by Christianity. Afterwards, tradition has gradually transformed itself into the creation of true allegorical-religious artwork, which require full months of fervent and secret work in the Bormio wards for the preparation of sedans. It has become something more complex, almost an exhibition of artistic subjects with a religious background in which context are reproduced historical buildings and sacred places of the country or refers to the problems and the themes of daily life, The Easter day is finally ready; Young people dress up the traditional costume and carry their own allegory carousel called "Pasquale", mossed and flowered, to the Elementary School Square, where they finally discover their work. All the people take part in the festival, involving guests and tourists who have the chance to touch with a handful of the ancient roots of Bormio.
